Atila Abdulkadiroglu
Atila Abdulkadiroglu is a Professor of Economics at Duke University. His research focuses on theoretical and practical design and empirical evaluation of school admissions systems. He has helped design admissions processes in various urban school districts, including Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York, New Orleans, Washington DC. He also works on developing econometric tools for impact analysis in centralized school admissions.
Abdulkadiroglu received his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Rochester. He taught at Northwestern University and Columbia University before moving to Duke. He serves on the Scientific Advisory Board at the Institute for Innovation in Public School Choice, a non-profit which provides assistance to districts on school assignment.
