Peter Hull

Peter Hull is a PhD stu­dent in the Department of Economics at MIT. His research inter­ests include top­ics in labor eco­nom­ics, the eco­nom­ics of edu­ca­tion, and applied econo­met­rics. Peter grad­u­ated from Wesleyan University in 2010, and before join­ing SEII he worked as an Assistant Economist in the Research Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He is cur­rently involved in research that explores the effi­ciency con­se­quences of school choice, improves on exist­ing mea­sures of school value-added, and esti­mates the effects of char­ter school takeovers of fail­ing pub­lic schools on stu­dent achieve­ment in Boston and New Orleans.
