Nicolas Jimenez

Nicolas is a pre-doc­tor­al research fel­low pro­vid­ing assis­tance to Joshua Angrist and Parag Pathak. He grad­u­at­ed from Yale University in 2019, where he stud­ied eco­nom­ics and applied math­e­mat­ics. At SEII, he is involved in eval­u­at­ing the impact of high school choice pro­grams on stu­dent out­comes, as well as in assess­ing school effec­tive­ness by study­ing cen­tral­ized stu­dent assign­ment mech­a­nisms. Nicolas’s main research inter­ests lie in applied econo­met­rics, edu­ca­tion and labor eco­nom­ics, and polit­i­cal econ­o­my.
