Atila Abdulkadiroglu

Atila Abdulkadiroglu is a Professor of Economics at Duke University. His research focuses on the­o­ret­i­cal and prac­ti­cal design and empir­i­cal eval­u­a­tion of school admis­sions sys­tems. He has helped design admis­sions processes in var­i­ous urban school dis­tricts, includ­ing Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York, New Orleans, Washington DC. He also works on devel­op­ing econo­met­ric tools for impact analy­sis in cen­tral­ized school admissions.

Abdulkadiroglu received his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Rochester. He taught at Northwestern University and Columbia University before mov­ing to Duke. He serves on the Scientific Advisory Board at the Institute for Innovation in Public School Choice, a non-profit which pro­vides assis­tance to dis­tricts on school assignment.
