Anran Li

Anran Li is a research assistant to Professors Josh Angrist, David Actor, Sally Hudson, and Amanda Pallais. She graduated from Peking University with a bachelors’ degree in Economics in 2016 and from the University of Chicago in 2017 with a master’s degree in Social Sciences and a concentration in Economics. Prior to joining SEII, Anran worked as a research assistant to Professor Melissa Dell at Harvard University. At SEII, she supports research focused on examining the impact of a randomly assigned private scholarship on college enrollment, persistence, and degree outcomes. Anran’s primary research interests relate to both theory and empirics in the human capital production function. She would like to understand how to attain the best education outcomes through optimizing resource allocation and how to overcome barriers to human capital accumulation.
