SEII Research on School Assignment explained in connection to 2012 Economics Nobel Prize”

Research by SEII direc­tor Parag Pathak high­light­ed by the New York Times in their dis­cus­sion of the 2012 Nobel Prize in Economics, award­ed for work in mar­ket design and the the­o­ry of sta­ble allo­ca­tion.

Pathak was part of the group who assist­ed New York’s Department of Education in devel­op­ing a new sys­tem to place 90,000 stu­dents to school each year.
